COACH GRUMPY'S (Pat Phelan) BASEBALL BIO
Born in New Westminster, B.C., raised in Coquitlam, B.C. Began playing baseball as a catcher at the age of 6. Played competitive baseball to age 23 and moved into competitive fastpitch, conventional (orthodox) fastpitch, and slo-pitch. Retired as a player at age 44. Began coaching at age 16 and continue to date. Have coached across Canada and the United States.
